Responsibilities:

Lead platform architecture design, development, and review.

Build the platform foundation services and automation tools for teams to follow the practices and deliver quality work.

As a pioneer and evangelist, study new/innovative technologies and introduce and promote them to teams.

Foresee bad smells, anti-patterns, and possible issues and help teams to eliminate them.

Deep dive with teams, figure out the root cause of complex incidents or performance issues, and propose possible solutions to prevent these issues.

Evaluate the impact of changes from customer requirements across Cloud infrastructure, service design, technical effort, and cost.

Requirements:

8+ years working with static languages: Go, C/C++ or C# and scripting languages: Python, Lua, JavaScript (Node.js).

3+ years experience leading engineers to design, build, and operate services that employ Container and Serverless Patterns using AWS EKS/ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, etc.

Deep knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Native Patterns, Container Management, and Cloud Computing capabilities, especially as AWS offers.

Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Experience working with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab-CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.

Fast learner with a passion for solving challenging problems and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good reading, writing, and verbal skills in English.

Nice to Have:

Solid knowledge of authentication and authorization, OAuth, and encryption.

Solid experience in Linux system and network programming, knowing patterns and mechanisms provided by OS suitable for an application context, and understanding how they work under the hood.

Eager to automate everything from development and testing to deployment (CI/CD) in an as-code fashion.

Very keen to learn things from Open Source projects, know how the communities work, and how to evaluate them for technology adoption.
